Coffee, like every agriculture product, begins on a farm where methods can greatly influence quality, taste, and more. It comes from the fruiting part of the coffee shrub where the seeds are cultivated to be roasted. We carefully select USDA certified organic coffees with superb flavor profiles from exceptional growers around the world. The organic certification is important to us to ensure product is free of chemicals or other contaminants.

At our roastery in West Sacramento, we roast in small batches to accentuate profile from the coffee and farm itself ensuring coffees are never left underdeveloped or worse, over roasted. Far too much coffee in the world is bitter from being over-roasted, perhaps to cover defects in the product or otherwise.

Excellent coffee should stand up strong and smooth without the need for added sugar, flavorings, etc. We are proud of our coffee knowing it can jumpstart one's day in a clean and compelling way. We hope you enjoy it too!
